Benissa is one of the oldest cities in the whole Costa Blanca. Benissa is situated in north-eastern province of Alicante. The village area is 69.70 km2 and there are 4 km of the seaside. In 2007, the Spanish Institute of Statistics established the population of Benissa as 13,000 inhabitants and a population density per 1 km2 reached 182.4 inhabitants. Benissa is localised 76km from Alicante, 24km from Denia and 112km Valencia.
